Mother Goose Party Farm
At Africa Adventure Centre, Riverside Manor, Rosetta. Perfect Themed Parties include exclusive use of cabin venue, party table setup, cups, plates, serviettes, hotdogs, party packs (chips, fizza, fizz pop, gums, sweets, smarties), cup cakes, ice lollies/ice cream, pop corn, chips, marshmellows, juice and balloons. The Barn & Bistro
Family Restaurant and Dairy Experience - an unforgettable Country Experience! The Barn & Bistro is in a picturesque setting on a working dairy farm on the R103 (next to Michaelhouse School), featuring a casual yet tasteful restaurant as well as a Dairy experience for children. The "Cow Shed" Dairy experience gives children a hands on opportunity to milk Bella the cow and bottle-feed a calf - available on weekends 10am to 12pm. The cost is R20 per child. The restaurant is open Thursday to Sunday from 9am to 3pm. Functions are also welcome and can accommodate up to 50 people.

The Candle Dipping Shop
Situated at The Junction Complex in Nottingham Road - a wonderful destination for fun-filled activities for children of all ages, and grown-ups too(!)...great fun for the whole family.
We have CANDLE DIPPING - choose a candle and dip it in different colours to create your own design. There are animal candles like Bunnies, Teddies or Owls, onto which you can paint eyes, toes, beaks etc, right through to table candles which can be dipped in the rainbow colours or to a theme like pink and purple. Mom can join the fun and dip some dining room candles and give them a soft gold or silver burnish for a special occasion. (Children under 6 yrs have to be supervised by a parent).
Then, there's SANDART - children love it. Choose a card and make your own pictures with coloured sand. There are lots of picture-card designs for boys and girls. This is a calming, creative, educational and fun activity and children leave with their pictures that are exclusively theirs. Home kits and gift packs also available. All ages from 4 Yrs up. (Littlies should be guided).
And now we have DOWN TO EARTH - personalise your children's bedroom doors! Make a treasure box or a picture-frame! Lots of wood cut-outs of the alphabet, animals, trains and cars, frogs and fairies, with brushes and small pots of paint. Glue these onto boards or boxes for long lasting, creative and imaginative memories. A genuine product of the Midlands Meander and available only at selected craft shops elsewhere. All ages, parental involvement advisable!

The Flyfishing & Birding Shop
The Flyfishing & Birding Shop is the foremost established Fly-fishing shop in the Midlands, established in 1999. It is situated at The Junction complex in Nottingham Road Village and has fly-fishing waters on the premises below the shop, well stocked with Rainbow trout. Open to the public, permits R100 for adults and R70 for children under 12. The first trout caught is included, thereafter R40 per fish - excellent value and the cheapest trout fishing on the Meander! Hire rods are available for R30 per day or R10 per hour. Flies cost R7 each. Casting tuition is available at no charge from 08h30 to 09h30 on Saturdays and Sundays, otherwise by appointment. Bass dams also available - the shop stocks a good selection of soft-baits, lures and spinners.

Threeways River Getaway
For the toddlers and babies, there are animals, slide and plenty of space to get "dirty and tired"! Older kids can enjoy various crafting and other activities: painting, decoupage, beading and anything else that stirs the imagination / chocolate making and soap making / games, animal fun, pony rides / river fun (strictly with parental consent only).
Activities are available for in-house guests as well as visitors. While crafting is available on a daily basis, we do require advance notice to guarantee your child a spot!
